Unfortunately, with the end of support for applications on the chrome web store (more info), our chrome apps for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS are no longer available. To meet demand for our apps on PCs, we have released some of our apps on the Windows store and ChromeOS is now capable of downloading our Android app versions.

An offline dictionary for writers. Search for a word in our database with over 100,000 entries, or use our "randomize" feature to generate adjectives, adverbs, nouns and verbs to help with your writing!
Story plot generator
This plot generator provides you with four key aspects of your story: a location or situation, a detail, a complication and an objective. This application includes over 1 million possible combinations of these four aspects in various genres, giving you plenty of ideas; just tap or click on the cards to shuffle individual plot elements. Plot generators or story generators can be used by writers, students or as a creative game that sparks your imagination.
Genres include: Action/Thriller, Misfortune/Drama, SciFi/Space, Murder, Fantasy/Magic, Horror/Suspense, Romance, Superheroes, Apocalypse and Mystery.
Writer's toolbox
Writer's Toolbox gives you a variety of generators to help with your story. The writing prompt generator provides situations to keep your story moving, the random name generator provides high quality names in several languages, and the character generator provides detailed aspects of your story's characters.
